Regions of Thailand

The North: The remote location, the mountains and the golden Triangle mark this region. The hill tribes are famous for their impressive culture. You also find Sukhothai, the first capital of Thailand, in the north.

The Northeast: Is the "rice bowl" of Thailand, as most people live her on growing rice. Unfortunately this keeps them poor. Traditional Thai live style can be still experienced there.

Central Thailand: In Ayutthaya you find the remains of the second capital of old Siam with historical palaces and temples. Thonburi was the third capital and 1782 finally Bangkok became the capital of Thailand and developed into a fascinating modern "Boom town", a melting pot of cultures and traditions.

The Eastern Coastline: As it is only one hour from Bangkok, it is the prime vacation area for the Thai people, with beautiful beaches and lots of entertainment.

Southern Thailand: became a tropical vacation paradise with tropical islands, palm-fringed beaches, coral reefs, colorful marine life, fishing villages, national parks, forested mountains, waterfalls and rubber estates. Temples and mosque define the region's visual appeal.
